La Belle Flør is a self-initiated, fictive project based on a real café by the same name. The café is small, independent and also has plants for sale. Located in Meyerløkka in Oslo, the neighbourhood is home to 3 seperate upper secondary schools, but also travel route for many working adults. With this in mind, the new identity aims to communicate to a wide target group with the mix of serious typography, a clean color palette, and a fun logo illustration representing both coffee and plants.

My initiative came to be because of this very street, which is why it’s essential in displaying the final design. The building housing La Belle Flør peaks forward and is visible from the very top of a long hill. When walking down towards the city centre, you can spot this very window from far away. That is why my suggestion includes a more airy script title font, a simplified emblem without any small details, and a clear discription below. This makes it easier to recognize the café already from afar, drawing even more potential customers in.
